The Beat Suite' is an intimate 1 day meeting with esteemed industry guests in various fields within the music industry. 'The Beat Suite' will cover the fundamentals on all aspects of  #music #production from #management #A&R #Creative #Legal #Licensing #Sampling.  Tastemakers in each field will do 1 hour Q&A's with a moderator and the registrants of that specific topic oriented segment. 

Seats are ONLY $99 for the day and include #breakfast, #lunch, a 1 on 1 #beat #critique with a #panelist as well as  priceless #networking with #industry #tastemakers and like minded individuals. There will also be a #beatcrawl over a @EffenVodka Cocktail (21 and over) where all attendees will play & listen to each others music.

1030AM- The Beat Suite Intro w/ J Hatch


A brief introduction of the days agenda and what to expect from the Co Founder of [istandard] and manager for 2x Grammy winning producer Focus... (Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Tha Game) and BMG songwriter Kaydence (Ariana Grande, Nelly, Vic Mensa)


1100AM- 'History of Break Beats' w/ Break Beat Lou


Learn about break beats and the culture behind alot of hip hops sampled drums from the master of Ultimate Breaks & Beats himself , Break Beat Lou. Get ready to learn about how live samples started the party rocking and several of hip hops favorite classics.


1200PM- 'The Art Of Sampling' w/ Buckwild


Get up close and personal with one of the dopest samplers to dig for records, the legendary DITC Co Founder and Producer for Big L, B.I.G, Big Pun and many more, Buckwild. We are going to talk about the art of digging, locating the best parts of the song to sample, how to chop them up crazy and come up with a finished product.


100PM- VIP Luncheon & 'Beat Critiques' w/ Audible Doctor & DJ Static


Audible Doctor ( Producer for 50 Cent, Joell Ortiz, Onyx) or DJ Static (DJ for Immortal Technique, Producer for KRS-One, Rakim ) will critique 1 beat/ song (60 second snippet) for each producer while we break for our VIP Luncheon.


200PM- 'Replaying, Recreating & Making Samples' w/ Antman Wonder


Antman Wonder is basically the unsung hero of creating music that sounds like old samples. He has replayed, recreated, and made samples for some of the biggest producers in the game (DJ Premier, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League) for some of the biggest names in music (Fabolous, Estelle). We are going to cover alot of ground here on why Antman's role in music is so important to your publishing clearances.


300PM- 'The Legalities of Sampling' w/ Bob Celestin


Bob Celestin (RAC Law Firm) is an entertainment attorney and music exec that represents artists such as Pusha T and Desiigner. He will be discussing the legalities of sample clearances, who wont ever clear your version if you sample them and how important it is to follow the guidelines when sampling and attempting to get approval. We will also talk experiences in which samples were never cleared and how now even if something 'sounds' like a previous composition there might be a lawsuit in your future.


400PM- The Beat Suite 'Sample Flip Contest' Powered by Effen

Registered Attendees  will be sent a link to download a sample that you can flip with any drums or additional sounds however you must incorporate the sample provided into the track you present. We will have a guest judge select top 3 flips and prizes will be awarded.
